So here I am again. Sitting in school at the computer wishing for another snow day like yesterday. As much as I am a fan of the snow, it’s quite annoying driving on the roads when the other people driving do not know how to drive on snowy roads. It’s not that I am a bad driver really, but it is just some other people who really do not know how to drive! The other day, I was behind a person that was going ten under the speed limit, and it was not icy at all. Not only that, but the person kept going across the yellow line and off the road. It wasn’t until we were at a stop sign that I realized that the person was TEXTING ON HIS CELL PHONE THE ENTIRE TIME. I am guilty for texting while driving, but if you wanted to know the truth, I only text when I am at stop signs and there is no one behind me. And of course, the snowy roads do remind me of Christmas.
Oh, how I love it here in the Midwest. Ok I just lied. I’m moving away. Hopefully someday I can move to Washington like I want to. Yes there is snow, but I’m sure it is a heck of a lot better than this place. Excuse me for those who actually like it in the Midwest.
I think I’ll be done now. I just felt like writing another post. Have a nice holiday!

Ah, London.
Here we are again during this marvelous time of the year where we get together with family and overstuff ourselves on very unhealthy food. Isn’t it just wonderful? Well, for some, like me, not really. The whole getting together with family thing isn’t the greatest for me, but I deal. I tend to try and make the best of it, or I just bring a book! YAY! So without further ado, I’m going to make my thankful list! WOOT!
- I’m very thankful for God and Jesus. YAY! If you don’t know the Lord already, I would suggest you know Him, because God is AMAZING.
- I’m thankful for my life. That may sound a little selfish, but I’m just happy that I survived last year.
- My family of course! I don’t really have to explain.
- BOOKS! OMW, BOOKS! If books were banned, I think I would die. Well, not literally, but put in jail for going against the government and being open about reading.
- I am very thankful for rain. I love rain. RAIN RAIN RAIN! Sorry. I’m getting out of hand.
- I will be going to Europe this summer, and I’m very thankful that my parents are letting me go!
- Ok, I know this should be in my top five, but I forgot! My friends. My friends are amazing and I love them very much.
- My kitties and puppy. I love them!
- STUFFING AND HOT APPLE CIDER. Favorite food to eat over Thanksgiving.
- Music is amazing. Enough said.
- Dancing. I’m not very good, but whatever. I love being able to just move and be free.
- I’m uber thankful that theater is not outlawed. If that were to happen, I would be very sad.
I think that that is it for now. I have many more things to be thankful for, but right now, these are my top.
This is finally my chance to write about whatever I want! Isn’t that fun? Of course, it can’t be anything bad, so obviously I’m not going to bash people. I’m just going to speak my feelings about some things! Yay! Ok, it’s not really that exciting, but whatever!
I really have no idea what to talk about though. That’s my main problem. Also, I’m in the fall play, and we performed last night, so I’m uber tired. My brain is obviously not working. Oh my goodness, I’m so tired. I need sleep. I’ll stop talking about myself because my life is not that interesting.
Ah, high school life. I really don’t like being a teenager. It’s all drama and hormones. So many people tell me that I should just cherish being young because I will miss it when I’m older, but I really don’t understand how amazing it is to be young. High school is really not fun. All the drama is just so sickening! Maybe I’m just in a bad mood today… oh, wait, yep, that’s it. I am in a very bad mood today.
You wanna know what totally stinks about living in the Midwest? Tractors on the road. Don’t get me wrong, I’m very greatful for the farmers that are willing to work in the fields all day. But I really don’t like tractors on the road. I was on the way to school this morning and I got stuck behind four different tractors, all going around ten miles an hour. Each time I was going up a hill, so therefore, I could not pass. I was then late for school today. I’m not going to blame the farmers, just the tractor companies who make them run so slow.
Yay ranting! Let’s see, what else should I write about… hmmmm… I don’t know! Wow. Ok! So I heard an article on the radio the other day about an older man in a different state who thought that they should get rid of the public library in his town. I can’t remember the exact quotes, but I’ll try my best. At a town meeting one day, an 11-year-old girl stepped up to the podium to plead that they do not get rid of the library. The man then replied back that he doesn’t care if the librarian is nice and the girl loved books, people should not just be payed for their hobbies and get a real job. Later on, in a newspaper interview, the man said, “I want that girl to lose sleep tonight.” It’s sad to think about how this world is changing for the worse! I must admit, some things are for the better, but society these days is just going down the toilet. Some people are so rude, I cannot believe it! I’m only 17, and I swear I have more common sense than some full grown adults! So, I sounded a little full of myself there. Sorry if I offended anyone!
If anyone would like me to talk about something specifically, give me a hollar! Comments are definitely welcome!
I’m here! I’m back! AH!
Wow, I’m realy hyper today! Anyway, my digital footprint, I hope, is pretty positive. I used to have some profile pages on some pretty… erm… interesting sites, but I have deleted them. I try not to put anything bad on my sites, and I hope that no one writes anything bad about me on their sites, because that would not be appreciated. Of course, I know that unless it a personal profile, I will not put my picture on the site. Things like facebook or myspace I will put my picture, but not other sites. I would NEVER put my address, phone number, or anything on my site. I once had my cell number on my facebook page, and one night I got a random call from someone I didn’t know. So, obviously, I took it off. I don’t try to bash people on my blog, and when I did, even though I didn’t say names, I felt guilty and took it off. So now, I’m going to try to be uber nice on my blog!
I basically taught myself how to do everything on the computer. When I first got myspace, I had my friend teach me how to do some stuff, but other than that, I learned myself. And I really do like being on the computer. Especially blogging my feelings.
I am a random person who likes to stay up late, and when I stay up late, I end up laughing really hard and saying really stupid things. It definitely doesn’t help when I have caffeine, which happens a lot. Well, sometimes I end up on the computer and write things that are very embarrassing. Most of the time, I don’t really write anything bad, just stupid. So, the next day I usually have to delete some stupid things that I write. It’s quite funny, actually.
For my english class in school, we got a list of commonly misplaced words. Today, we have to write a blog with as many of these words in it as possible. So, I’m going to go against the norm and be a total smark alleck. I’m going to list the words and put the definition! HA HA MRS. DE GROOT. You didn’t say is had to be in a story which is what everyone else is doing.

So, now I’m done. I’m pretty sure I cleared up a bunch of the questions that people have about English. Not really. I must say, doing this assignment really helped clear some stuff up for me. So that’s all for now! I might put in another post soon!
Have a nice day!
So this is for week five! Yay! I’ve been blogging for over a month now and I must say, I really like it. Right now, I’m trying to find a few good sites to talk about. I really don’t know WHAT to talk about though. I have some… erm… different interests to say the least, but I really don’t go on sites about them. I mostly go on sites that are about books or movies. Or my email or blog.
Ok! I got a good one! I love to paint and do anything that has to do with art, and this is sort of in this category. I don’t know if any of you out there like to watch the show “Ace of Cakes” on the food network, but I DO. I love watching people bake and decorate. Here is a website that my friend’s mother showed me. This website is called Cakewrecks, and it is absolutely hilarious. If you look at this site, you must know that all the cakes featured on this site are sold in stores. I love it.
I really don’t know what other website to put. I love reading, so I’ll just say that I love to go to my favorite authors’ blogs and websites to see what’s going on. Here are some links to my favorite authors’ pages:
Lisa Jane Smith, or L.J. Smith
Here are just a few of my favorite authors! I hope I opened up your minds a little bit to different things out there!
Talk to you next time!
Hailey
So, I was tagged to write about an inspiring song, as you can see by the title. For me, what really hit me in a song is the lyrics and the melody. I do tend to listen to many songs nowadays, so this is going to be a little difficult. I’m going to check out my trusty iPod!
I thought this would be easy, but this is SO HARD! I have so many songs that I love. I think I have it narrowed down to two or three right now.
So the first one is by Billy Joel, one of my favorite artists. Of course, it’s about heartbreak, but that’s not why I love it. We sang this song in choir last year and I fell in love with it. The words and melody are so beautiful, yet so sad that I just love this song. Billy Joel – And So It Goes
My next pick is The Reason by Hoobastank. For me, I see this is a Christian song. I know it probably wasn’t written as one, but I saw a video with this song in it that I’ll post. The lyrics really make me think. It makes me look back on all my mistakes and learn from them. If you watch the video, be warned for it is a little graphic. The Reason – Hoobastank
This last song is called Too Bright to See Too Loud to Hear by Underoath. This is one of my favorite songs by them. Not only does it show that they can do more than just screamo, but they have an amazing faith. In the song it talks about how if we lose God, we are worthless. We think that we are worthless a lot, but we have been forgetting God’s forgiveness. Too Bright to See Too Loud to Hear – Underoath
So, there’s my post! Hope that gives you some insight into some different music.
I am now going to tag five other students. You have to write a post about an inspiring song and then tag five other students to do the same. Make a link with their name like I have below, and write on their blogs to mention that you have tagged them. Try to choose students from other schools and not just your friends. You need to copy what I have written here at the bottom of your post so they also know what to do.
I’m supposed to tell you all what I’m expecting or something when it comes to commenting. You can comment on basically anything, I don’t care. You can leave your name and site URL if you really want to.
I don’t care what you right, but I have one request: Please keep things positive. I don’t like swearing, and since this is for school, I don’t think teachers will appreciate swearing anyway. If you want to leave criticism, leave constructive critism ABOUT MY BLOG. None of this, “I hate you, you’re ugly” crap.
That’s all I have to say!
If you couldn’t tell from the title of my post, I ran out of song titles for my post names. I only had three I think, so it just shows I need to broaden my music library.
YAY! I’m going to turn this blog post into some of my favorite music! WOOT! This one is called “I Know What I Am” by Band of Skulls. Another one of my favorite songs! Here’s the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_tl3zhbWrBY
This one is called “The Bird and the Worm” – The Used. Amazing. Creepy, but amazing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DRw2erWNIBE
And the last one!
This one is in Japanese. Yes, strange, but that’s just how I am! It’s called “Suna no Oshiro” by Wakeshima Kanon. I watch an anime in my free time, and this is one of the songs on it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mk6vv2dOrVs
That’s all I’ve got for today!
For class, I am supposed to participate in a blogging challenge thing. So here are the questions I’m supposed to answer!
1. Why did you join the blogging challenge? – I was forced to for school, but I don’t mind.
2. Do you want to take part in the commenting section more than the better blogger section? Why? – It doesn’t really matter all that much to me. Actually, I have no idea what this question is supposed to be asking. But I’d rather blog than comment if that’s what it means.
3. What do you hope some of the activities include? – Something fun. Anything that needs my opinion on something. I really don’t care what I do on this thing.
4. Finally, what do you hope to get out of the challenge by the end of the ten weeks? - I really have no idea. I don’t even know what this challenge is! But I hope that I grow in my blogging skills I guess.
